In Memoriam

We would like to ad more pictures of passed members.  If you have one, please email it to tolsen@sacredheartplayers.com  The year of birth and death would be greatly appreciated.

Tony joined the Players in 2002 as a stage hand in Man of LaMancha.  He also helped build and paint the set on Saturday mornings.  He was recruited as a prisoner for one scene and was hooked ever since.  His million dollar smile and warm persona befriended everyone he came across.

"Bob the Builder" was the backbone of the Players for over 15 years.  He designed and built all the sets until his "retirement" in 2003.  Not only did he build but also performed in each show.  Amongst many of his notable appearances was Don Quixote in Man of LaMancha.  At left Bob belts out a riveting performance of The Impossible Dream.  His legend lives on today as we continue to use many of the pieces Bob built.  Each set is constructed in his honor and we pray that he continue to watch over us forever.

GARRETT KELLEHER:             Gary was a founding member and appeared in every show (but one) and will long be remembered for his lead role as Henry Higgins in the SHP first production of My Fair Lady in 1986.  Most recently, Gary played FDR in Annie, and Roscoe the Director in Singin in the Rain.  His appearance on stage will long be missed by his adoring fans and loving friends.  "They're all here to see me" Gary used to say.  The void of his witty humor, warm personality, and brilliant insight will linger forever.
Gary served as an upstanding role model to what the Sacred Heart Players is all about.  Our young cast looked up to him and our seasoned cast, learned from him.  His long standing membership earned him the very first Sacred Heart Player Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
In memoriam, the Sacred Heart Players will place a brick in the memory garden outside the church.  Each performance of our 2010 season will be dedicated to Gary.
